End the Silence

The second project will be to create a strong community of adults. Our first effort toward this end has already begun. We have already started to form the “Red Tent.” The purpose of the Red Tent is to open the lines of communication between women and to develop a sense of community among women. We will establish local chapters where women will be able to gather, to talk and to come together as a community. The host of a local chapter will be required to sign a contract that all women within the community will be included, no dues will be requested and that no “Red Tent” chapter shall be established to promote a business goal, political view or religious belief. The aim is to provide women with a constructive support system, a place of acceptance for all women.

From the Red Tent program we also plan to develop other community groups.
